"We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us" Travel has been my passion for over 25 years when I took my first "real" trip overseas solo for 6 months. I navigated the motorways of Switzerland, got lost in Austria, ate my way through Italy, experienced the kindness of the people in the Scandinavian countries. I was hooked. I fell in love - with travel that is! Once bitten by the travel bug there is not going back, the only relief is to satisfy that insatiable urge and GO EXPLORE this big, beautiful world of ours. I did this by joining Princess cruises, working as a "shoppie" onboard. I joined the ship in Oman, half-way through a world tour and got off 6 months later in Boston (just after the 911 attack). It is here I met my husband, a New Zealand Guest Entertainer working the seven seas. We spent the next 10 years travelling/working onboard various cruise lines, me his manager and assistant. Last count I traveled to over 125 countries, circumnavigated the globe 4 times on a ship, and been to almost every port. So, I know cruises! But not only cruises, I have experience in land travel. I lived in New Zealand for a while but moved back when we had our son, who is now 12. I recently spent a year in New Zealand and just returned this year! If you have ever wanted to experience the Southern Hemisphere, I'm your gal! I currently have settled back in Burnaby and decided to join the wonderful team at Expedia on Commercial Drive, the neighborhood of my childhood. With so much cruise and travel experience I want to be able to share and inspire others to see the world!
