Travelling is a wonderful way to get away and expand your horizon. My parents left China when communism took over to the Philippines where I was born and grew to adulthood. Eventually my mother and all the family emigrated to North America so you might say travelling is in our genes!! Fortunately I had a career in shipping that permitted me to deal in both import and export of goods & services to and from other continents of the world. Hence, curiosity of what other cities and countries had to offer prompted me to travel on business and for pleasure. My very first cruise was with business friends on Cunard Lines - 7 days Caribbean. The second cruise was a 10 days Hawaii and Tahiti with Princess Lines. I love the fact that you could unpack the day you board the vessel and re-pack when the cruise was completed. Since then 15 more cruises followed. As one’s addiction to travel expands, you want to see more and more of the world hence land tours offered an attractive option. By Land tours which include going by air, bus, rail, ferry that takes you to the heart of the countries being visited. I found myself making the travel arrangement for my little group of friends and family, i.e. tour booking, air travel, airport port pickup to hotels etc… that added to the excitement. I’m pretty lucky to have visited 6 of the 7 wonders of the modern world ie Great Wall of China; Christ the Redeemer Statute (Rio de Janeiro); Machu Picchu (Peru); Chichen Itza (Mexico); The Colosseum (Rome); Taj Mahal (Agra, India) and Petra (Jordan). I have visited every continent except Antartica. There will be more travels in the future until my bucket list is complete.
