While I have enjoyed a lifelong love of travel, an entire world opened for me several years ago following my first trip to Italy. Since then, a large portion of my life has been dedicated to travel, and I have since engaged in helping others to experience the wonders of traveling the world. I have also continued my own travels, which includes trips to more than 10 European counties in the past five years. And in years past I have traveled to Mexico, Canada, and the Dominican Republic. As I am sure many of you can relate, that first European trip was like a dream. It began in late 2019 and took me to Florence, Naples, and Rome, along with some smaller towns in between. I absolutely fell in love with the country, the food, and its people. Covid forced a lockdown on travel shortly after my return, but as soon as I could, I was back on the road and made my first solo overseas trip in October 2022, when I visited Germany, exploring Bavaria and the Tyrol region of Austria. The focus for these trips was World War II history, and the book I am currently working on about my family during the war. In the spring of 2023, I returned to Europe with a nearly two-week itinerary in Belgium, the North Rhine Westphalia region of Germany, and the Netherlands. I returned to Italy in October 2023, exploring Florence again, the stunning Apennine Mountains north of the city, Bologna, and Venice. The second leg of that trip took me to Switzerland, where I spent several days exploring the Alps in the Bernese Oberland. In the summer of 2024 I visited Ireland, the United Kingdom, and spent several days in Normandy before capping the trip off with several days in Paris. Given the opportunity I would love to help you plan your trip!
