People may say that the whole world has been discovered but we have not discovered all the ways there are to see the world.
After spending 30+ years in the high tech industry I decided to embark on an adventure – combining two activities I am passionate about – travel and planning.
As an Expedia CruiseShip Centers Consultant I will make you a promise. I will go above and beyond your expectations to provide you with information to make your dream vacation exactly that – a dream. From best itineraries, what cabin is best on a ship, best shore excursions, amenities on a ship, transport to and from airports, restaurants, places to visit, to pre and post cruise hotel accommodations - I love to provide those recommendations and assist with arrangements.
There are thousands of travel agents – you may already have one you use – and there are hundreds of web pages that assist you with researching and booking travel. However, like many things in life, it is the advice of a knowledgeable person that can turn our travel experience into something extraordinary.
I have been fortunate to travel to many parts of the world – with many still left to see. My bucket list will never be empty. I have used many different modes of transportation and have found that cruising provides the best experience – unpack once and visit multiple locations. My husband Geoff and I have cruised on Celebrity, Oceania and Norwegian, visiting Europe, the Caribbean and Panama Canal. We were also fortunate to spend 8 days on a private catamaran touring Galapagos Islands.
My personal goal is to visit the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. Just to clarify – that is not the New7Wonders of the World initiative started in 2001 to choose wonders from a selection of 200 existing monuments– although those destinations may be ones I eventually add to the list. There is no consensus on a list of seven natural wonders of the world but the list I am working towards is as follows:
Aurora Borealis – completed
Grand Canyon – completed
Great Barrier Reef (Australia)
Harbour of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
Mount Everest (Tibet)
Paricutin volcano (Mexico)
Victoria Falls – (Zimbabwe)
While I can't get to all of them on a cruise ship – I can get close and do a pre or post cruise trip to see those that are land locked!
