As we all await the world to wake up again to travel let us take this time to reflect on our next place of adventure and exploration.

If staying in Canada is feeling more comfortable these days my experience across Canada includes all but Nunavit and Labrador. Slightly farther out but still close is the United States where travels have taken me to almost every state and in particular the West Coast and all Hawaiian Islands except Lanai. Cruising Alaska is a favorite with nine visits. My personal travel also includes cruises to the Panama Canal, Mexican Riviera, Caribbean, South America, Antarctica and the Mighty Mississippi as well as all-inclusive resorts and escorted tours. While living in Germany for two years travel included land excursions to much of continental Europe, England, Wales and Scotland and three weeks in the Canary Islands. Last year we took in Denmark and cruising the Norwegian Fjords. The latest adventure was an Expedition Cruise to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falklands. Love those Penguins! On the horizon is another Expedition Cruise to Baffin Island and Greenland.

Cruising is my specialty, having the good fortune to experience 40+ cruises on various lines such as the Carnival Corporation brands of Carnival, Holland America and Princess; the Royal Caribbean International brands of Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara; Norwegian Cruise LIne brands of Norwegian and Oceania; American Queen, Disney Cruise Line plus the smaller and more intimate yacht and sailing vessels of Windstar, the Sea Dream II yacht and the fabulous expedition to Antarctica with Quark.

Expedition Cruising this decade is the new River Cruising of the last decade with almost every line building an expedition ship. Having taken one expedition to Antarctica and one coming up to the Arctic much time and effort has been spent researching both ends of the world and what lines offer the amenities, itinerary and unique choices available in the market today.

In addition to the Arctic Expedition Cruise, my personal bucket list yet to be discovered includes French Polynesia, the Galapagos Islands, and the geothermal baths in Iceland! Please join me!
